skyline Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 ...the opening of the NBA season? I used to be a huge basketball fan, but have really dropped off in the past few years. I've watched a couple of the opening week games, and they've been relatively entertaining. I'm especially excited to see the Lakers crumble, and the Nuggets to rise up as a powerhouse (I hope). I'd love to see Kenyon Martin become an elite player in Denver. Quote
jditty47 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 u are hilarious. lakers crumble? plz. we dominated the nuggets at home then played like garbage at utah....utah home opener btw. Its a long season and i gaurantee the lakers arent done making moves...and btw, we'll make the playoffs. Quote
richmond_mat Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I will not follow the nba in general until playoff time, other than an occasional glance at box scores. But I will be following the Pistons again this year just to see how Tayshaun is doing. Quote
skyline Posted November 5, 2004 Author Report Posted November 5, 2004 I actually watched the Miami game tonight to see Shaq in a new uniform...Wade is a very exciting player to watch...I may tune in more just to see him play. Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I like the college game more, but after living in San Antonio for a while now, the pro game has grown on me. Also, since the Spurs are the only professional franchise in the city, the sports world of San Antonio revolves around the team. Everything else takes second place. When it's all said and done this season, I'll be out celebrating the team's 3rd championship!! Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 And tonight my beloved Spurs are going to kick the crap out of L.A. It won't feel the same without Shaq there, but they're still the Lakers and they still need to be beaten into submission. I expect the final score to be something like:San Antonio 101Los Angeles 24Kobe Bryant 53 Quote
Chad Johnson Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Kobe is actually stepping up and making his teammates play well.D-Wade is very impressive. The Heat will definately be #2 or 3 in east...Detroit will make it back to championship....I wish Tmac and Yao were playing better together than they are. They really need someone good at the #1 spot. Quote
semiotter Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I think now that DALLAS has a big man they will be the team to beat..GO MAVS. Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I will be the first to admit that I'm biased since I live right here in San Antonio, but... I really don't think that Dallas is the team to beat. Their achilles heel has been lack of defense and I don't see anything really changing that. Whatever the case, the Dallas/San Antonio/Houston games this year will be fun. Quote
Barbarian Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I know I'll be watching Christmas Day:Miami vs. LA Lakers. You can't get any better than that.I hope they bitch slap each other. Quote
Kirkendall Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Any Artest fans 'round these parts? Quote

jamesbrooks21 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 If you want to watch a team-oriented game (rare in the NBA) watch my Utah Jazz. They have one of the greatest coaches in the game with Jerry Sloan, play good defense, and share the ball really well. They also have a young superstar in Andrei Kirilenko. They dominated the Lakers, Denver twice, and the Pistons. I just wish Stockton to Malone was around to enjoy it. Quote
