Marvin Lewis, please, I mean PLEASE put Kitna in. Our offense is absolutely horrific

Dude. Read my sig line.

By the way, Palmer didn't give up 30 points to the weak-ass Browns offense. They are at best a 21-24 point per game unit. Well not against Cincy's poor excuse for a defense. <_<

The offense is ALWAYS playing from behind, and when that happens, your play calling suffers. Especially when you already have a suspect offensive coordinator already doing the calling of plays!

That's the thing Bill. Palmer didn't off-set it though either. He didn't take charge, he didn't fire up his offense, he looked as weak, sad, and never established that leadership quality. He looked confused and lacked any confidence. He didn't look like someone who wanted to take charge of the game. He wasn't yelling at his guys to get fired up or calling them out when they dropped how many passes.

I'm not putting the loss on Palmer, but he didn't do anything to suggest otherwise.

100% agreement here

Hey, kybengal, can I borrow one of your bags? I don't have any tickets for a single game this season, but I figure I will wear it in front of my TV every week. Maybe take a polaroid each week and send it to Mike Brown's offices with a "friendly" note.

Actually, bags are easier to come by than victories :(

I believe our crowd will be fairly quiet until our boys show us they want to play.

I agree also. Our whole team seems to suffer from a lack of fire. You don't see anyone getting very excited. To lose by 17 with getting four turnovers against a mediocre team puts us.........

Geez, I thought the days of horror were over. Yes, Palmer needs to take some lessons from Boomer on motivation. Frazier needs to be gone and the offensive line needs to re-think just how good they really are at this point. Everyone healthy and our all-pro tackle, and the two young linemen who are supposed to be on their way to that status, were no match for the Turds. Our offensive line looks very mediocre to me.

The defense is consistent: you can always count on them giving up a bunch of yards, each and every week.

Gosh, I really sound negative. Guess that is because I watched the game.

Right. Palmer is laid back. He needs that Troy Aikman blow up attitude. I hope he tore into Chad's grill mouth in the locker room for all the 4 drops and the INT that was, granted, underthrown, but readily catchable by Chad if he outfights Henry. Stewart needs A-hole ripped for 2 drops, Kelly (why the eff do we even have him still) for 1 drop, and K-Wash for the TD drop.

I'll have to say I was impressed by the run D, 38-134 yds for Green & Suggs. Of course, the Brownies were down to their 3rd string RT and otherwise are pretty weak up front.

4 big plays killed Bengals. 99yd TD to Davis, which was ONeal sold hook, line, and sinker on double move, 59 yd TD to Suggs (looked like Geathers dropped back in coverage w/ Hardy on run blitz and no safety response), 49 yd circus catch by Northcutt on underthrown ball by Garcia w/ K2 not watching where ball was, and a perfectly thrown ball with unsurpassed touch for a 14-yd TD to TE over Simmons.

Bengals were 1-4 last year. Here's to another 7-2 run :P

I gotta say, I had concern going into this game.

My team, the Browns, hadn't really been showing any true heart or consistant play, even our win over Baltimore was more about good plays at the right time, but the rest of the plays were flat.

Our defense still hangs in and keeps us in games, and after the 4 turnovers in the first half, I thought for sure you all would come out with fire and just take over. It just didn't happen, our defense held in there, and allowed our offense to slowly show some improvement. Still far from where I would feel comfortable, but showing progress.

This was actually the first time I've gotten to see Palmer play, other than highlights and stuff, and I will say you guys have a good future QB there. He is going to take his lumps this year, and maybe next as he learns by trial and error, but he made alot of nice throws and some nice scrambles to avoid sacks early on.

The receivers dropping balls was your real downfall, if just half those drops had been caught this game would have been much closer and possibly a Bengals win. Hang in there, you got a bright future at QB, he just needs time to learn.

Good game all, and good luck the rest of the season, (except our next meeting :) ).
