Jungletiger
That was a bone headed moving putting him on practice squad. Warrick should be on IR and Broussard should have been promoted. The guy is big, fast and has good hands.

jamesbrooks21
You are so right, a 5-9 175 pound wide out is huge. He just towers over most DB's.

schweinhart
So long Broussard. Have fun with Carolina. And so long Elton Patterson. Have fun in Jacksonville. The Big E just got snatched from the practice squad.
Jungletiger
Warrick as it is, is non factor. When healthy, let 'em rip. Til then we shot ourself in the foot.

I thought that once they're on it, they're on until next season.THAT would be shooting ourselves in the foot if he ends up healthy in a few weeks. Bengal_Smoov
Only time will tell about Broussard, he is quick and a monster at 5'9" 180 lbs , but yeah time will tell. He is definitely replaceable though. I was wishing Warrick would suck it up and get out there and play. He had all offseason to get healthy and now when we need him the most, he's not able to perform. Very disappointing, he going the way of most of our first round picks, a bust. Our draft strategy should be to take whoever we are going to take in the second round and chose them in the first, atleast we won't have to worry about our 1 rounders being a bust. The best 1 rounder we've had in the last 7 years so far is Levi Jones, the jury is out on Palmer. The rest of them have been mediocere at best. Besides Levi, Justin Smith & Peter Warrick are the best were have done in the 1st round and they haven't come close to a pro-bowl type season, which is what you should expect from your 1st rounders. Conversely, our second round picks have been diamonds in the rough. Chad Johnson and Corey Dillon are two of the best players at their positions. I know this had nothing to do with Broussard, but I had obviously had some things to get off my chest.
BengalszoneBilly
Speaking of Warrick, has anyone heard anything about the results of the X-ray on his leg?
bengalsfan33
Broussard looked good in the presason, but I feel that he justn't wasn't big enough. If he gains more weight, than we should think about giving him a chance.
wookie
Broussard had a good showing in training camp, but he is definitely replaceable. I hope the Bengals can turn this slow start around, but if they can't then the upside would be the ability to draft a good WR with a higher pick in the draft. Who was that WR who tried to get into the draft this year, and who will be in the draft next year?? I know I could probably look it up, but I just don't feel like it right now. He would be worth a pick next year if Warrick and/or Washington don't pan out.
bengalsfan33
Are you talking about Mike Williams out of USC...If you are, than I would I would take a chance on him too. He was probably one of the best receivers in college his junior year....
wookie
Yeah, I knew someone would remember his name. He would've been picked early in this year's draft had he been eligible. I read that he is still working out and getting ready for the next draft. Too bad he wasn't allowed to rejoin his college team this year to get a little more experience. bengalsfan33
Yes, he was predicted to go like 8th or 9th, but was taken out and couldn't get go back to college since he already has left. If he works out all winter, and comes into the draft looking good, than I would love to see him at the Jungle next year...
