Ball Control

The answer to the Bengals question on the defense is ball control and controlling the clock. You can hide your defense by keeping them off of the field. Getting back to the run should be a priority. This would also keep the pressure off of Palmer to throw 40 passes a game. I have heard Dave Lapham say that it is easier to run block than it is to pass block so this would also help the guys that are banged up on the line. Double tight end formations and dump passes to the TE's are other ways to help with the run.

Last night, KC kept Jamal Lewis and their defense off of the field by running and running again. They ran 46 times and only had 31 pass attempts.

I hope Bob Bratkowski was watching!
