skyline Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Since I have to go by the internet updates, I was curious as to how many snaps he played yesterday. I saw the two catches, that seem like very positive things. Did he only get a couple of plays, or was he in alot more than that?I would guess they'll finally give him some carries against the Browns... Quote
vettespd20 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I was wondering the same thing, I am pretty sure he only got in for a few plays and I dont think he was in very long just enough to give some positive yards. Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I wish the Bengals would give Perry a little more snaps, I'm sick of seeing Watson, give it too Perry, damnit. Quote

I AGREE, maybe he will turn out to be a disappointment but he is the biggest chance of being the future running back to grow with this team and be either a good back up or a great leader. It just depends on how good he gets. Quote
kitna3perry26 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 How come you can only get it by internet updates? Quote

It just depends on how good he gets. Perry sure looked solid on the 2 receptions. Watson, on the other hand, fumbled at Pitt 32 on 3rd and 4 carry in 4th Q. I don't like to see that, especially when a field goal in that situation (even if iffy at 50 yds) ultimately closes the gap to 21-20 and takes pressure off CP from strictly throwing w/ less than 2 minutes left for FG attempt instead of TD drive. From what Perry did vs. Steelers, I say it's time to bring him in as 3rd down back.Watson is a solid backup, but Perry showed excellent receiving skills and is a decent runner w/ vision if not of the same burst as Watson. BengalszoneBilly Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Perry sure looked solid on the 2 receptions I'm hoping to see Perry utilized alot more after the bye week. If they thought he had the talent to be the #1 pick, well then give him more than a few plays to contribute in a game! He put up some big numbers during his college days. Let's see how he does here by getting him the ball about 10 times a game. 50% run...50% pass! Quote
turningpoint Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 i'm alomst posative we'll be seeing a lot more of Perry in cleveland. He looks really explosive from what I saw, not to mention he honestly looked like a seasoned WR out there when he had those 2 catches, they were actual run routes not just dink a dunks out ofthe back field, man i'd love to see what he could do in space. He looks like a faster version of Peter Warrick. Quote
