CTBengalsFan
bonuses in contracts that are finally being paid off... a big part of that is Akili's and I believe Dillon's too. I'm not quite sure exactly whose, I just remember reading that.

AGrizzlyBaer
wow if thats really the case, well we should be able to go after some free agents
HoosierCat
Well, when you purge like 75% of the roster in two years you're going to pile the dead money high and deep. I don't know the total, but IIRC trading Dillon cost us like $4.2 million, and we're still burning off the last of Akili's SB, about $2.3 million. We are still paying for some schmuck, who's not even in football, just because he went in the first round!?! I'd trade that first round pick everytime for proven FAs or multiple 2-3 round picks. For every star in the first round there are plenty of Big Daddy's, Ki-Jana's, Akili's, and Klingler's. Money pits and no results.
Barbarian
I'm going to be a little pessimistic about money spending on players in this organization until I SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT.So, what you're telling us is this:HORRIBLE PLAYERS OUT, HORRIBLE PLAYERS IN.I'm thinking that Brown & Blackburn Co. will just sign players that are on the decline in their careers, or sign another never-was.Why should I be optimistic when that is the trend: Just sign a player that can fill a uniform. Give fans hope so they will fill seats at PBS again like SHEEP.I love the Mike Brown frame of mind.Christ.
BengalBax
Now, next year, Marvin can cut warrick and Chad, since he didn't draft them.He will make some lame excuse like they are getting old and we need to get even younger. Spikes, Dillon, L. Neal, please come back
