Bobcat Bengal
oh boy....not another discussion about Kitnaits your first ever post, and you're trolling and/or flame baiting?Cmon man....If Kitna can start the season off 0-4, can't we let Palmer get some game experience? redsrule2500
Kitna started 0-3. (if you were talking about last year)
redsrule2500
I somewhat agree - but I don't want to switch back and forth and get into the same situation the Browns did with Couch/Holcomb. Therfore I think we should probably stick with one guy. At least for a while.
turningpoint
yeah well how's 1-4 then..
CTBengalsFan
switching qbs now would be the stupidest thing they could do.
bengals4ever
switching qbs now would be the stupidest thing they could do. Palmer is our QB!!! He is a rookie and he will make rookie mistakes. That was obvious today. We are 1-2 and a game back. The season is not over. Palmer will be fine. He had blitzers all over him today. His line did not help him at all. Kitna would not have done any better today. And BengalBax, you are moron! Grow up and stop calling yourself a Bengals fan! Zilla
yeah well how's 1-4 thenIts only his 3rd start. Hes faced 2 of the top defenses in the league, hes going to put up points. The defense is the worry.
AGrizzlyBaer
yeah, i mean we saw what he can do at a middle of the road defense like the jets, come on guys, the dolphins and the ravens are crazy tough, we will see a hopefully nice rebound next week
JPW
I like Palmer.....It's because I like the Bengals....No you don't and no it isn't....Take a Hike TROLL....
Arizona
Stick with Palmer. He'll get better. I can't believe some of you panicky little women.
ackley1
I gurantee by the end of the seaon you guys will be back on Carson'rs ship. The guy has only pleyed 3 games now, and he's played relatively well. He did have few few picks but I'm not sure that Kitna would have done much better. You can just tell he's going to be a great QB. He's made a few mistakes but nothing phazes him. He's also got a great arm and is pretty mobile. I hear some people comparing him to Akili Smith which is f**king ridiculous!!! Just like some of you were talking about cutting Housmanzadah?? :player:
hottub
Stick with Palmer. He'll get better. I can't believe some of you panicky little women. You're right about Palmer, but you're out-of-line about the Bengals faithful. Remember, we really have stared into the abyss. We know how bad it can get, and how quickly. I don't think it's panic if the fear is realistic; I don't anyone is a "little woman" just because they don't want to go back there. Unless Palmer gets hurt or plays himself out of the job, he's going to keep it. But I'm sure there are a lot ot Bengals watchers who wonder how bad its going to get, and whether giving Palmer the job was the right decision. kitna3perry26
Are you guys in love with Carson????? I just think Kitna is better.Cincinnati has had all those QB busts and when we finally get a guy that proves he can win with this team we bench him.I don't care that Kitna started 1-4 last year, I care that he finished great. Some of you guys are pretty rude. kitna3perry26
I hope Palmer proves me wrong, I really do but if it is the same one, two or three weeks from now we should definatly play Kitna.
ackley1
Stick with Palmer. He'll get better. I can't believe some of you panicky little women. Yeah it is pretty sad. Were just 1-2 and were only going to get better as the year goes on. The Ravens really aren't that much better than us. Yeah their defense is alot better than ours but if it weren't for a couple of big mistakes we would have won this thing. :player:

B24
I hope Palmer proves me wrong, I really do but if it is the same one, two or three weeks from now we should definatly play Kitna. And go through the growing pains again next season with Palmer. I think not. If we had half a defense this wouldn't even be an issue. Palmer is going to be great, just give him a chance. BTW, Welcome to the board. :player:
ackley1
There is no doubt in my mind that we're going to have many great years w/ him.
jditty47
ya man, hes faced 2 of the top 10 defenses in the league, especially vs the pass. He had some mistakes, but there were a ton of positives unlike akili etc. could u name 1 positive when he made a start? i cant wait till he lights up the steelers secondary this next weekend...should be fun to watch. San Antonio Bengal
If Carson Palmer wasn't a heisman trophy winner and was a 3rd round pick and not the #1 pick but still had the same skill and the same talent level that he does he wouldn't start. You're underestimating Carson's potential. The fact is, he was a Heisman trophy winner and he was the #1 overall pick. There's really a world of difference between him and a third round QB pick. Give the guy a chance. He's been up against a couple of the best defenses in the NFL these past two weeks. No offense to Kitna, but after seeing how the game played out today, Kitna being in there would not have changed the final result. Lewis would have still gotten his yardage because our defense forgot that you can tackle people who have the ball, and I would be really surprised if Kitna wouldn't have had a pick or two. With the defensive sieve that is the Bengals, it's a loss no matter which QB was in there.
schweinhart
i cant wait till he lights up the steelers secondary this next weekend...should be fun to watch. You're damn right it's going to be fun to watch!Townsend, Scott, Pomalu, Hope, please....The Steelers got a solid front 7 but their secondary is subpar and worse than it would've been if they had kept Alexander and Washington. These early tests vs. Fins and Birds for CP will yield major dividends starting next week
JPW
Some of you guys are pretty rude. You come on here as a brand new poster....You start a thread designed to start a QB controversy....You ignore the fact that "BashTheBengalsBAX" already had a "smack Palmer" thread of his own started....You top it off by hanging a f**king smiley on your "dump Palmer" thread....On further review...The call stands......TROLLThere is NO QB controversy in Cincinnati. And even if you post 100 threads on Kitna there still won't be one.Carson Palmer IS The Bengals QB.... BengalBax
In this game, with kitna, we still lose. But I guarantee that we would have been in it until the end. The Miami game would never be in doubt. The Jets game would have at least went into OT. No big deal, let the kid develop. You just know it is bad when you can see CJ on the tube SCREAMING and throwing his arms up in disgust because he was so wide open. Anyone else see that?? Hmm... you football experts must know something Chad doesn't. What about the great scramble out of the pocket and that little touch pass to TJ who was about a half yard in front of Carson, when he had a 10 yard lane to run it. Little plays like that are what make the difference in NFL games guys. Turnovers LOSE GAMES and we will make LOTS OF THEM hereby granting us LOSSES! Carson had so many plays in Ravens territory where he looked like $hit whith no pass rush and overthrew guys or threw it into white jerseys. WE HAVE TO MAKE THOSE PLAYS. And one small note, on the Dolphins game guys, that is a joke. Big Ben threw a TD tonight and moved the ball pretty well on them, beating them by 10 on the road. The Steelers D will hold us in check, mainly due to drunken Brats playcalling (PLEASE RUN THE D@MN BALL). We need a spark. I am just saying, if the game is close, and Palmer is getting ate up, can we at least bring in the relief pitcher to try and pull out the win? The Bungle jokes are slowly resurfacing and it makes me sick
