All we have to do is look at the second time we played them there. Trust me, the ball is not going to be bouncing of Ed Reeds chest this time for 80plus yard TDs. They will be all over Chad and we will be lucky to gain 50 yards on the ground the way we have been running this year. I am having nightmares thinking about what J Lewis will do to our D. They might not even have to throw once, but hey, I guess anything can happen. Pessimistic WHO DEY

Im not saying he's gonna break 200 Sunday but the man is due for a breakout.

I anticipate Jamal to have a respectable game of about 100 yards rushing, give or take 10 to 20 yards either way, but honestly if anyone on the Ravens is overdue to break out, it would have to be Kyle Boller IMHO! No one really takes that much notice if Jamal gets over 200 yds rushing because it isn't too uncommon, almost expected of him at times.

So why don't you say Boller is due? Does anyone here even remember the last game Kyle played well enough that you could consider it a "breakout" game? Let me refresh the collective memories here seeing that it's last occurrence was a little more than one year ago:

"Kyle Boller had his breakout game in Cincinnati on 10/19/03 as he completed 15 of 27 for a career-high 302 yards and 2 TDs (104.2 QB rating), including a career-long 73-yard TD strike to WR Travis Taylor in the fourth quarter…This game marked Boller’s 1st-career 300-yard passing game, becoming only the 4th QB in Ravens history to throw for 300 yards in a game…Boller’s 2 TDs against the Bengals also marked the 1st multi-TD game of his career…He did fumble twice and throw a INT that led to 17 Bengals points."

How was Jamal's performance in the same game as Boller's above? Those very stats are behind my yardage prediction for Lewis:

"Jamal Lewis rushed 19 times for 101 yards and no TD's in Cincinnati on 10/19/03…Lewis averaged 5.3 yards per carry with a long of 35 and added 1 reception for 8 yards against the Bengals."

It seems to me that Boller was the difference for the Ravens winning in that game rather than Lewis, even after you factor in Boller's turnovers! So while granted the thigh injury to Boller's thigh last season was a factor in no other games of this magnitude, Kyle is still way overdue for another performance even close to that! See my point?

I see what you're getting at Billy but keep in my mind you are talking to a Ravens fan :D

We don't expect breakout games for Boller especially with the conditions for this game. Obviously I hope Im wrong but with Taylor and Heap out....well any plays made downfield would be a huge plus but are certainly NOT expected.

And please don't take this is as a lack of confidence in Boller. I like the kid a lot but when you have questionable pass protection and basically a scrub receiving corp...well lets just say I wouldn't put my hopes on the passing games shoulders.

We hang our hats on Jamal and the running game etc so passing yards are unfortuntaley the last thing we Ravens fans look for.

Its so funny how opposite our two teams are. You guys have a defensive coordinator guru with an explosive offense and a suspect defense.

We have an offensive guru with an explosive defense and a suspect passing game.

We're living in two different worlds bro! ;)

its kinda sad/funny in that regard. all season/offseason long both teams fans pray that they improve on that side of the ball...everytime our defense lines up we say a little prayer and hope its the D that showed vs Miami and not the Jets and you hope that your offense is the offense that played vs the browns last year and not the browns this year.
