slowtwitch
I think its funny how the TV always tries to create a story line to make things interesting. I'm referring to the opening piece before last nights game about the bad luck and failures our team has had with first round quarterback picks. Of course, they failed to mention our success with later picks (e.g. boomer & kenny specifically). Anyone under the age of sixteen probably thinks the Bengals have always been losers and a cursed franchise forever. It is sad about Greg Cook. I got to spend some time with him as a kid (family friend) and he's a good guy who did'nt deserve such bad luck.
HoosierCat
Greg Cook was just one of those tough breaks (see Fischer, Charles) that you absolutely hate to see. I actually thought that it was pretty cool that they dug back and pulled him out of the files. But yeah, a little mention of Kenny A. would have been nice. Overall, tho, I thought the opening bit was OK, if a tad overdone. But no one expects subtlety from a football broadcast, eh? I will say that Summerall showed why he retired last night. I suppose he can't be blamed for mangling TJ's last name, but since when is there a "Warwick" (Dionne?) at WR?
skyline
Summerall needs to go away.
