Come on Bengal Fans . . . . .

Unfortunately yes, all we have is next year...

Here's where I fall this morning.
We (Bengals fans) are all dead, that's right, I said it... DEAD.
We were once horrible people who have done horrible things while we were of the living.
As our eternal punishment, we have all been sent to the, before now unknown, 10th circle of hell.  Or as we all have come to call it, Cincinnati.
In Cincinnati, Satan (Mike Brown) has formed this outrageous and unspeakable evil known as "The Bengals".
This is the part of hell where hope truly goes to die.  Where year after endless year, we are given the curse of hope, only to be cast into the horrific fire of despair yet again.
This fire of despair lasts for months until we are pulled from that agony to once again be given hope in what the ancient philosophers called "The draft".
Despite how amazing and beautiful "The draft" appears and no matter how many magnificent, mythical free agents come to save us, it will never be enough.
The season beings YET AGAIN only to see our body parts being ripped away in the form of injuries, ineptitude, and false prophets where God's light cannot shine.
Regardless of us being ripped to shreds, we continue to hold onto hope, spending money, cheering for our tormentors, and defending them and their abilities to save us.
There is no escape.  There is no path that leads to heaven and a Super Bowl Championship.  Only continued pain, sadness and a never ending hope that gets extinguished.
"THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR" is the call to arms as we are cast back into the fire.
WE ARE IN HELL !!!

Ok everyone, hope you all have a great day !!
Cheers !!

My belief is a 7-10 finish, at best.

What will be different about 'next year'!  EVERYTHING is imploding!!

YES, Burrow is having a good year, but his doctor said the wrist will NEVER be 100%!

Management has drafted, gotten FAs, probably spent more money on players since Katie took over 99% of the team, than they spent the 20+ years MB has been the owner and, outside of Orlando Brown, all of them have turned out to be average at best!

Army, the Texans aren't looking much better.

I've just surrendered the fact that my career as a Cincinnati sports fan, dating back to Crosley Field and Nippert Stadium, will have to be content with 3 WS Championships for the Reds, and 3 AFC Championships for the Bengals!

The icing on the cake though is the biased admission of the referees. They admitted that, when Brady was with the Pats, they got the close calls, and even Aaron Rodgers got some heat for speaking out about a 'roughing the passer' penalty that was called FOR him, and said that it wasn't even close to a ‘roughing the passer’ call. The bias on calls continue with the NEW Brady and Patriots, Mahomes and Chiefs. The NFL doesn't flag penalties anymore, they just fine the players.

Once again Bengal fans, goodnight Irene, and the last one out please turn the lights off!

Speaking of next year, while I always hate rooting for the Cowboys, a win tonight would bump us up to 10 in the draft.

https://tankathon.com/nfl

As for who to take, both cbs and tankathon’s mocks have them selecting Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty.

I don’t see it, but it would be soooo Bengals to

1. Cut your star RB because $

2. Sign a cheap FA RB

3. FA gets hurt, so trade a late draft pick for a RB

4. Bench new RB after he fumbles on his first carry

5. Waste more $ on taxi squad RBs

6. Use first round pick on RB and pay him more money than your star RB (see 1. above) was making

I just don’t see anything changing HC.  After 57 years of different coaches and players I used to think it was Mike Brown.

But after he’s given MOST of the control to his daughter, I can no longer put it on him and have to believe it’s a family affair!

Either way I’m running out of time to see anything beyond the already 3 AFC Championships!
