BengalszoneBilly Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 We have two races before the "Chase" begins. Here's my picks:Chevy driver: Jeff Gordon. I think he's still pissed because he was caught trying to pull a fast one on the restart at Bristol! Dodge driver: Ryan Newman. He did well at Bristol, and his team is very streaky.Ford Driver: Mark Martin. He could very well win this if he quits making bonehead moves during the race! Quote
kevnz Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Michigans sister track...I expect the finish to be pretty similar....So I think it'll be either DJ, E Sadler, or Biffle....But don't discount Gordon or Johnson.... Quote

WHO DEY AGAIN? Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I'll go with Waltrip-ChevyBusch-FordElliott-Dodge,even though a Chevy or Ford always wins this race. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 1, 2004 Author Report Posted September 1, 2004 even though a Chevy or Ford always wins this race. Hmmm. I never thought about it WHO DEY, but I think you're right! I don't remember a Dodge ever winning this one! Quote
Kirkendall Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 This is the latest this track has been visited by the Cup guys so the track will be more different than in years past. Here's my picks anyway which has nothing to do with the above comment. Chevy - Gordon: 3-time winner in 9 races.Ford - KensethDodge - Newman Quote
Kirkendall Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Ford Driver: Mark Martin. He could very well win this if he quits making bonehead moves during the race! Not sure Billy if the problems are Martin's. He's had some bad pit stops that's put him in the back of the field plus a few blown engines and transmissions. I think he's just had one of those "bad luck" years... if it wasn't for the engines and trans, I think he'd easily be in the top 10 for the chase. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted September 6, 2004 Author Report Posted September 6, 2004 Congrats to kevnz and Iffy! Sadler kicked it up a notch in the last 20 laps and beat two other very good cars of Kahne and Martin! Great race with great excitement continuing to build to the chase!!I'll tell you right now I'm picking Mark Martin again next week. His consistency level is really picking up!! Quote
