CP9
Larson can punt...No fear. If he can't I think Johnson is still under 50, what is the mandatory retirement age for punters? The difference in punting between Nebraska football and the NFL is negligible.
schweinhart
If they didn't cut TJ last year, why would they axe Warrick this year? That's the point. I was real surprised to see Hobson even remotely suggest that P-Dub could be on the way out.But Housh had a hamstring deal, not an arthritic knee. With the less severe injury, I can see not cutting Housh last year, especially coming off a 2-14 year. Now with P-Dub's knee question, it does make it harder to cut Housh this year.Still, Housh still gotta go IMO. The reason is he's unreliable w/ the ball. No doubt he's got speed and skills. But the bottom line question with him is if he's worth the risk of costing points that cost a game. Dropped passes and fumbles can cost games. Reckless running w/ the ball leads to injury.True, Housh has the speed and skills to win games. But my take on him is he's a greater risk of significantly contributing to more losses than being instrumental in wins.Patrick Johnson should get to make his own case w/ Palmer instead of Kitna throwing to him. If Palmer was QB vs. Pats, PJohnson gets a TD on his 42-yard catch because the ball was underthrown 10 yards by Kitna.
