Sox
...Palmer complete at least FOUR passes that Kitna couldn't have. The best example was the TD pass throwing across his body to Stewart.Running in the opposite direction and throwing across his body,Palmer had incredible velocity and accuracy.I saw several more throws that were similar. This kid could really be something special. BengalszoneBilly
I'd say with his arm strength, he reminds me of Dan Marino, but that wouldn't be fair to Palmer. Carson moves WAYYY better in the pocket than "stiff man" Dan EVER could!!There. I said it!!

Amen, brother. I love Jon Kitna but you are 100% correct. I have a sneaking suspision that CP was ready at the end of last year, but ML stayed with Kitna because they were winning. ML is not a rash man and he would not have made the switch in March if he was concerned about Palmer's ability to lead this team. I hope this ends any of the questions or complaining about the change. Palmer is the real deal! Believe it!
wookie
Lets hope we're still seeing/saying the same things about Carson in December. My guess is that we could be. I was impressed with his performance, he even mentioned the fact that he kicked himself for under-throwing the pass to Chad. He said he was nervous and didn't want to over-throw such a wide-open receiver. I don't know about any of the rest of you, but I couldn't tell he was nervous. Believe it! also because they were in the playoff chase, he doesn't want to throw carson in, then have him mess up and lose a few games and shake him for life. jditty47
like ive said to all my friends etc....now we all know the hype is for real is all this preseason game showed, he has the ability that we all thought he would. Now he has to go out week in week out and prove it and not disappoint. The potential is there, now lets see it!!!!!!!

Palmer admitted himself that this pass was ill advised and underthrown. He credited Tony Stewart for coming back and making a play on the ball for the touchdown. Kitna probably would not have thrown that ball and if he had probably would not have gotten it near Tony Stewart. Palmer got away with one. Still, he got away with it, most people would have thrown a pick.
