PatsFanTX
But see it from our perspective. After 12+ years of frustration, our very young team with a new starting QB showed much promise last Saturday night against the reigning Superbowl champs. That's why most of us are excited. And you guys should be excited. You have a young team, a franchise QB and a very good Head Coach. The Bengals remind me of the Pats of the early 90's when they hit rock bottom (1-15) and then came Kraft, Parcells and Bledsoe and turned the whole organization around.Nothing better than rooting for a team on the upswing. jditty47
ya its must nicer at this time of year coming off a 8-8 season and having the potential to make the playoffs for the first time in over a decade rather than coming off a 2-14 season and having the same attitude going into the next season with the same team same everything etc.
TippCityRick
I have to say that I had a lot of fun watching the game this weekend. My lasting image is of Corey sitting on the bench after losing the fumble with a "WTF just happened out there" look on his face! It's not that I wish him ill will, but I believe one of the places Corey and Marvin clashed was in preseason workload. Corey has never seen the third series in August let alone the third QUARTER! When he came off the field Belichek got in his grill and told him to sit himself down. You could see Corey blaming everybody but himself in his head for the fumble and lack of yards. Same ol' Corey - nothing is ever his fault. Well he found out that when you work for a good coach that they will get in your grill and sit you down. I think he thought that Marvin was mistreating him - making an example of him. But Marvin was just doing what a good coach does asking the question, "what have you done for me today?" I don't think Corey will grow up enough to learn to play within the confines of a winner's mentality. Marvin saw it and was glad to be rid of him after last season. Only 18 remain from the team he took over, and I think the first thing Marvin looks for is that winner's mentality. Saw a lot of it this weekend.
