OT HazMat countywide alert

stuck

Recommended Posts

My weather radio went off and issued a "Turn on Your TV" Advisory. There is a 5 -alarm fire blazing in Lower Price Hill (Gest St, South St.) The Queen City Barrel facility - they clean drums of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The county has issued a Haz mat alert, telling people to "shelter in place" - close windows, shut off windows, stay on upper floors. Affected areas are LPH, Price Hill, Clifton, West End, etc. Current winds are westerly.

B) Yep ! That's pretty close all right.

I'll be dammed ...... somebody from the old neighborhood. I've heard from friends that the college has pretty much taken over all the apartments in the area. If that's the case ... has that been a good thing or a bad thing? They weren't he best behaved bunch when I lived there and we had more than our share of problems with them. Hope things have changed for the better.

PS I used to hang out at Warner St. Tavern and the 211
