Derek Ross, who was cut earlier in the preseason by Atlanta, is apparently available as the Saints claimed him, then cut him, in less than 24 hours. He is certainly no star, but for a team that is starting a rookie safety at corner, he might be worth a look.

It seems that the "knock" on him is that he doesn't follow team rules.

But he still may be worth taking a look at.

Guys, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT get hyped over Derek Ross. We did it when he got cut from the Cowboys, Saint fans did it when we cut him. He MISSED the flight to report w/ the Saints! The guy is rapidly becoming a waste of talent and it may be better to live w/o....or let the Browns take him.
