These Uniforms are Terrible. Just Terrible.

OK, first, I am a displaced fan, living in Chicago, so I haven't been force-fed the new duds like most of you probably have. Therefore, I haven't thought about it much and really only remembered today that tonight's highlights would be the first chance I would get to see the new uni's in action. I could have waited a little longer.

I did not see a sleek, modern-looking team. I saw 11 Tony the f**king Tigers whose leadership and coaching staff allowed the brain-trust in the NFL marketing department to convince them that the past had to be let go in order to embrace the future. Crap. Don't get me wrong, I was all for a uniform update, but a total overhaul? I thought the black-on-black was one of the toughest looks that I've seen in years in the NFL, despite the record playing in those kits. After all, I seem to remember a team going 2-14 two years ago that I'm pretty sure wore white pants all year.

I know the jerseys are selling like hotcakes back home and at camp, but I'd like to see those numbers after the Dolphins and Broncos games.

Please, God let the guys look way better in the black jerseys and the orange jerseys. The whites have got to go.

I sincerely hope that my mind is changed after I see the game tomorrow night from start to finish. But, I am not optimistic.

This could be a very long season, indeed, win or lose, for Bengals fans outside the 'Nati. I can see the ribbing coming from a mile away.

I'm feeling a tad cranky, boys and girls. I believe I need a bowl of Frosted Flakes. I'll be sure and check back in after the re-broadcast.

They'rrrrrrrrrrrrrre Great! Oh sorry.

I liked them enough but there are a few things I would have tweaked to make them look a little better.

But it has been stated here several times, winning makes the uniform look better. The Bengals took some grief in 1981 when they went to the stripes but they were winners that year so the complaints quickly faded. Same thing with the Broncos. I remember saying "WTF" when I saw those uniforms but they won two Super Bowls and nobody was complaining about them anymore.
