Word at this point is that he suffered fractures to both his nose and the bones around his left eye.

Here's to hoping he's ok long term, because taking a shot like that just isn't something you jump up from.

Scary seeing something like that happen.

Last report from the Enquirer says he'll be OK. Out two months.

It's always a possibility, but you don't see it that often.

So another cool Chapman story to share.

I was out back tonight hanging with the neighbors and the kids were running around playing.

Chapman comes to the door of his house and motions to the kids to come over. When they get there, he starts handing out autographed balls to the kids. He had a ton. My son walked away with three autographed balls.

What a nice guy gesture to the neighborhood kids.
