Interesting QB Playoff Stats

The point if the thread is that the offensive scheme needs to change for the Bengals.

Well, that may have been the point of this thread, but now I feel we need to make an urgent change to a new point, namely: how can we help our UK-based Bengalszone brethren escape their doomed isle before the ghost ship full of diseased cannibal rats crashes onto their shore?

This reminds me of the old Johnny Cash song, "Ghost Riders In The Sky"!

I've been saying for a while that what Dalton needs is a solid vet backup.

Not really even to put pressure on him, but someone he can go to and talk things out.

A "what did you see there" kind of thing from a vet that's "been there".

He has never had that and not even 5 years ago, that was never a consideration for a team regarding their rookie QB.

I honestly think that is an area the Bengals front office has failed Dalton in.

Army, remember the days when college drafted QBs sat behind the starters for a couple of years or so? There was big benefits to that protocol! At least that way, they were much more mentally prepared for the strategic nuts and bolts part of the game by the time they started playing on a regular basis.

Just way too many teams now to keep that implemented I reckon!

I think it's more the thought that teams are putting out big dollars on QB's drafted high in the first round and want results sooner rather than later.

With the recent success of "some" rookie QB's and through their early years, more and more teams are looking for the rookie QB that can start now.

That and possibly the fact that there are so many teams that are struggling with mediocrity at that position?

I mean how many of the 32 teams have an established QB that rookies can sit behind and be 'mentored'?
