ArmyBengal Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 The Reds have tonight off after sweeping the Astros and start up a 3 game series AT the Pirates on Friday.Latos and Liriano battle it out on the mound for the first game and then Bailey and Arroyo take the mound for the next two.The Pirates lost again yesterday and while we are still 2.5 back of the Cardinals, we are only a half game behind the Pirates for home field if we can't catch up to the Cardinals. The Pirates have one more against the Padres, so maybe we end up tied with them before we play Friday. The Cardinals also have one more against the Rockies tonight, so GO ROCKIES. After that, the Cards play at the Brewers, then host the Nationals and Cubs. If the Reds want to take the Central, they really can't afford losses. I don't really see that happening, but you never know how things might turn out.GO REDS !!! Quote

The division is a rather far-fetched goal at this point, but hosting the wild card play-in is looking pretty good if the Reds can take care of business. 6 more games, including 3 against the Pirates, all at home.
