skyline
Power Rankings in baseball (especially this early) are almost more meaningless than they are in football, which is saying something. That said, I still like to laugh at some of the things that you see. After week 1, the Reds and Nationals both have 4-2 records. The Reds have just beaten the Nationals in a head-to-head series. So, how do the ESPN (Barry Larkin!!) power rankings respond? Obviously, by leaving the Nationals are the #1 team in baseball, and then by DROPPING the Reds 1 spot. Makes sense, right? http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9146165
ArmyBengal
Yeah, that's pretty much a bigger joke than power rankings in general. At least try to make some sense.
Stripes
To be fair, the Reds did have homefield advantage. To be more fair, the Reds outscored them 27-10. It doesn't make much sense, but neither does the 5-1 Rockies being 21st. They're protecting their preseason expectations, and I can understand that. It's too early for their perceptions coming in to the season to be completely morphed.

ArmyBengal
Well, the Reds took series from two top teams in each division and both losses came in extras. While I don't care where they are ranked, if it's going to be done, it should at least make sense.Ranking the Nationals ahead of them just makes no sense.
