Cancer took his jaw in 2006. It finally got the rest of him today.

I was a huge fan of Siskel & Ebert growing up. Before the innertubes they were the go-to reviewers for movies -- and probably all you got except for your local rag.

Godspeed, Rog.

I wouldn't wish the way his life ended on anyone. It was sad to see how his cancer drastically changed, and then took, his life.

I never cared about his reviews either, but then again, I never listen to what someone else thinks about a movie.

There are just too many different likes and tastes to assume one person always knows what I might think is good or bad in that regard.

I can't even begin to name the movies I have enjoyed through the years that critics hated.

On the flip side, there have been numerous movies that got critical acclaim, that I thought were complete wastes of money.

The Piano ?? Seriously ??
