Interesting stab at a new metric from PFF. Basically they are matching the top performance of 2012 at a position with the top cap number, the second-best performance with the second-biggest cap number, etc., with some tweaks. Given annual debates about what constitutes "overpaying" in free agency I thought this might be useful as a ballpark number.

Most interesting name to me on the "overpaid" list was Peko. The value group was about what I expected except for Pacman. I thought he had a solid year but this metric really likes him.
