walzav29
I say we re-signAndre Smith Manny LawsonKevin HuberMichael JohnsonCedric PeermanDan SkutaPat SimsThats it. The rest can go. Pat Sims will be tough. The run defense is night and day with him in there. He might get big money somewhere. Although he didn't last year. The rest of the money has to go toward extensions. HoosierCat
Andre Smith - yes, tag if necessaryManny Lawson - no, HowardKevin Huber - yesMichael Johnson - Bengals won't keep Atkins, Dunlap and MJ. Comes down to who you want to sacrifice.Cedric Peerman - yesDan Skuta - mehPat Sims - yes but they won't with Still and Thompson on the bench

Newman has played well but father time is at the door.Keep in mind they have some talent (albeit injured) at CB: Kirkpatrick, Ghee (dont laugh), & Prater. What to do with Hall and Jones will be key.As for LB's, they gotta decide what to do with Maualuga. Can Burfict run the D? Will Howard come back strong? Can they draft a blue-chip-ish OLB? Is there a FA guy who can come in and deliver some coverage of TE's?...now rambling...
Spor_tees
How often do teams sign back that large a number of free agents during the offseason?
HoosierCat
How often do teams sign back that large a number of free agents during the offseason? All the time. Only a few will command big contracts. Last season the Bengals re-upped:NelsonCollinsPacmanSimsLawsonRolandLeeNugentCrocker (in season)Plus ERFA/RFAs Peerman, Harris, Skuta and Miles.Only guy who got paid was Nelson, and I suppose "franchise kicker" Nugent. Adam Jones will get paid more, and MJ will get paid handsomely also.
