Chad Johnson Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 overly generous with some players...AND CJ ONLY GOT 93???????? WHERE THE HELL IS MY 99 AT???? Quote
IfItsBrownFlushItDown Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 A little generous...but overall I'd say it looks good.Did anyone see how many players the Ravens had with a 90 or higher? Its crazy! But their depth at every position blows, so I guess it evens out. Quote
Kirkendall Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Anyone notice Kitna had a better rating than Palmer. Quote
skyline Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Anyone notice Kitna had a better rating than Palmer. Yeah, I was glad to see that. I'm sure after you play the first season in Franchise mode, his stats will fly up. Quote
IfItsBrownFlushItDown Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Anyone notice Kitna had a better rating than Palmer. Which is perfect for my first Madden 2005 franchise...Trade Kitna for that stud DT we've been waiting for! Throw Schobel in there too and pick up a draft pick! Then I'll create Jared Lorenzen and make him the backup QB... Quote
CTBengalsFan Posted August 5, 2004 Author Report Posted August 5, 2004 the ratings for our secondary and LB core are higher than i thought they'd be, the 92 for simmons jumps out at me.hopefully the madden people see something in our team heh Quote
WhoDeyNow Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Daryl Gardener is on our roster. We basically get an 88 overall DT for free. Quote
skyline Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Daryl Gardener is on our roster. We basically get an 88 overall DT for free.Bah. I'll drop him. I hate inaccurate rosters, haha. Quote
Sox Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Daryl Gardener is on our roster. We basically get an 88 overall DT for free. I have 2k5,and I dropped Gardener.I'll do the same when I pick up Madden.I'm starting to wish I hadn't purchased an Xbox...I'm getting NOTHING done at home, lol. Quote

Jam31 Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 We have 10 probowlers and the most talented roster in the league. Madden '05 just reflects that Quote

Anyways, here are the rankings that you asked for before you edited it out.http://sports.ign.com/madden05/ravens.html Quote
jditty47 Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 i have 29 sacks in 14 games with gardner on espn2k5...sounds real huh????I also broke Jerry Rice's yards in a season receiving with CJ, Catches with CJ going past Marvin Harrison. God i cant wait for madden. Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 I picked up 2K5....The first person mode is the best! The presentation is great by ESPN. The playbooks are awful though...Just gimme some Madden! Quote
jditty47 Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 the playbooks are pathetic arent they? They have hardly any plays and if u do that ask whatever crap it does the same play over and over and over...then if u try to pick something, everything is similar. Quote

I have to admit the "suggested play" feature does suck, but you shouldn't have to use that now should you?You can make your own playbook if you don't like the plays.Isn't there already a couple I hate NFL2k5/I love Madden more than life threads? Quote
Chad Johnson Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 i know on madden 04 the make playbook sucked....limited your play count too much... Quote
jditty47 Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 i shouldnt have to make my own plays....espn football prolly has a total of mb 100 offensive plays and 50 defensive...and thats mb exagerating. i only do the ask for help sometimes just to see what they would call, for the most part i call my own plays though. There are around 325 offensive plays available and 135 or so defensive plays available. So you were exagerating... too low. Quote
Sox Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Most of you probably already do this, but for those who haven't,try changing some of the routes on the fly. When CJ is running an out or a slant and I see he is single covered,I press the right joystick forward and then his designated letter(a,b,x,y) and send him on a go pattern...I do it with KW also. Im with you on that one. To me its all about the hot reads. It should be real interesting now to be able to make defensive hot reads. But a lot of my passing and running plays in '04 would change right at the line of scrimmage. Quote
