HoosierCat
At PBS, that is.This year — for the first time since Paul Brown Stadium opened in 2000 — ticket holders will be allowed to leave the stadium for a smoke break and come back in.The Bengals made the decision to accommodate people who want to smoke and those who hate that people smoke in concourses and bathrooms in defiance of the no smoking rule.“This is a high-profile issue and we want to do everything we can to accommodate all our fans, but still comply with the law,” said Bob Bedinghaus, the team’s director of business development. The plan, developed by the team in conjunction with stadium security, Cincinnati Police and the Cincinnati Fire Department, will allow people to smoke in areas outside Gates A, C, D and E. Areas will be sectioned off with bike racks.“We recognize there are strong feelings on both sides of the issue,” Bedinghaus said. “We hope with this accommodation we can strike a middle ground.”Seems doable if you're near a gate but I have to think it wont be all that attractive to people in the nosebleeds.
