Oh, I have no issues with the pick. I like it very much as a matter of fact.

So should all the people that thought it was a plausible idea to draft Fleener at #21.

I would like to hear Green's comments about him as they played together.

I mentioned Orson Charles as a pick I would like in the 3rd round (rather than Fleener in the 1st) back on April 10th... so yeah, I'm really happy about him in the 4th.

Good call. So let's pass the question to you, why did you think we needed a new TE? Which one do you envision Charles replacing?

Well... I don't think the Bengals really needed another TE... but Gruden certainly wanted another one.

As soon as Gruden was hired, they went out and signed Bo Scaife. He went to IR almost instantly, so they brought in Donald Lee.

Jay Gruden has talked publicly about wanting to use a lot of multiple TE sets. Injuries made it difficult last year (but New England proved how effective it can be). If Charles and Gresham play up to their potential, I think we'll see a lot of multiple TE sets that are very difficult to defend.

I think Charles will be a fun toy for Gruden to use in the red zone and I look forward to what Gruden came come up with. So you're thinking Lee is the odd man out?

I'm thinking that or Cochart goes to the practice squad. Not sure how quickly other teams might snatch him up if that happened...

That'd probably be a risk worth taking

I think between Cochart and Charles, Cochart has the best shot of sticking on the practice squad.

There were probably teams that had Charles rated high, but weren't willing to take him do to issues.

Stick him on the practice squad where the teams get something for nothing at low pay and I think you will find teams willing to take that chance and snatch him up.

Is Cochart PS eligible? He was active for most games last year right?

101...Donald Lee is OLD, and prone to breaking. He has now been hugely upgraded.

He produced for us when Healthy but I could see them doing Youth movement I really like our 3 Young TE's.
