walzav29 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Who has the advantage? Sure it's premature, but things are looking good with SeattleArzCleveRamson deck. Can we win 2 against the following?HoustonTenn.Pitt-2Baltimore-2I say yes. Then back to the original question. It would seem to me that the Bengals would have the advantage, because CP quit on them and if it wasn't for a miracle draft their season got saved. Quote
Stripes Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 I say yes as well, but we can't assume wins against the bad teams. Quote

I'd take 3 out of 4.Cincy should win 2... maybe 3 of your 2nd list. I'd take 2 though.I still don't expect the playoffs. At the beginning of the season I said no less than 6 wins, not more than 9. I'm sticking by that claim. Although, I'll admit there are some reasons to be more optimistic right now. Quote
Spor_tees Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 The Bengals HAVE to go 6-4 in the last 10 games to have a chance at the playoffs. With the AFC North having the easiest non-divisional schedule against the AFC south and the NFC west, I just don't see anything less than 10-6 making the playoffs, and it could be a scenario were an 11 win team like New England a couple years back totally miss the playoffs. walzav29 Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 We have historically 2 things going for us. #1. We have Baltimores number #2. Pittsburgh having the Super Bowl hangoverIf the defense plays up to par, we can hang. Each week the youngster gets better. Quote
HairOnFire Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 I may regret typing these words but I want Pittsburgh. And when they do face off if the Bengals lose I'll immediately want a rematch. Because IMHO that's the team we have to measure ourselves against. Not Baltimore. Never Baltimore. I want to see wave after wave of young unblemished uncorrupted next generation Bengal players get their first taste of all that is the Pittsburgh Steeler experience. I want to see this teams defensive line matched up against the Biggest Ben. But mostly I want to see how Jay Gruden's passing schemes do the first time matched up against Lebeau. Long gone are the days of Bob Bratkowski's Clockwork Orange...now replaced by Jay Gruden's DNA-inspired pass routes and it's demand that all skill position players be capable of playing multiple roles. I hereby dub whatever it is we're seeing...(wait for it)...the Hinterland Aerial Multiplicity (HAM). Quote

walzav29 Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 That's an I. Fired UpI agree though, but a couple more scrimmages will be good! If Andy handles himself well against the Steelers, then lookout. Quote
