cincykent
It doesn't seem that important this year that the draft picks get signed on time. None of them are expected to start. Do you agree?
HoosierCat
It doesn't seem that important this year that the draft picks get signed on time. None of them are expected to start. Do you agree? Only in part. I'm not real worried about when Stacy Andrews signs, for instance. Unless the whole o-line comes down with a severe case of premature death, he won't see the field this season. And having Rudi means Perry isn't as critical as a first-rounder normally is. On the other hand, Askew is already being counted on as a member of the defensive tackle rotation, so getting him in on time ought to be priority one. And both Ratliff and Williams are expected to see time as backups and in nickle/dime packages. At a minimum, I'd like to see those three in on time

NO--I don't agree!!!!! Getting the rookies in to start learning ASAP is ALWAYS PRIORITY!!!Why do I think that???Because you never know who is going to go down and when!!! Just think if Rudi goes down in Preseason--a la Pinata Carter--then what are you going to do??? Start the NFL-Europe Hero Skip Hicks??? You're f**ked if that's the case. The answer is that you should have EVERY rookie signed before camp starts--to get them up to speed. The rookies need to start learning ASAP because every Team's Playbook is as thick as "War and Peace". cincykent
I agree that it is important. I was making the point that it didn't seem as urgent this year as in the past.I agree with JoiseyCat. I think Askew is the most important because of lack of depth at D-line.
