HoosierCat Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 bengals.com says our 6th round pick inked a 3-year deal. 1 down, 10 to go. Quote

HoosierCat Posted July 20, 2004 Author Report Posted July 20, 2004 Hopefully this will get the ball rolling for the others. It will. These late-round deals are always small change (in NFL terms, of course) but they chip away at the rookie pool, so the pressure begins to build for the day 1 guys to get theirs before the well dries up. Barbarian Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 How close is Perry to signing???I'll bet Perry is a holdout. Year after year (besides Palmer), the Bungles have hold-outs. I'll be really surprised if he signs before camp begins. Here's another bummer part--Wilfork already signed!!! Quote

Possibly, but then every team in the NFL has holdouts...I mean damn, the Browns had 4th rounders hold out on them last year. How many first round picks are signed? Maybe 4. Every team has this problem this year....get a grip. Quote

Actually three out of the last four Bengals first round picks have been signed before training camp started. Warrick, Jones and Palmer were all in camp on time. The only holdout was Justin Smith. So you may want to get your facts straight. Quote
schweinhart Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Bellichik is relying on Wilfork and the Texans are all jacked up about Babin.I'd rather see Perry signed last. Whatever is left from the pool, there it is. Work it out or have a seat for a year and watch how Rudi and Watson get it done. Quote
