Gomes on Rome is Burning

Gomes was just on ESPN's Rome is Burning and had this to say:

Praises for both Baker and Jocketty.

Said he was confused with the lack of interest last offseason.

Thankful the Reds gave him another chance.

Coming up said he wasn't go to get his chance in Tampa Bay before he came to the Reds. To many stars on that roster back then.

Came from a blue collar upbringing and made him appreciate the little things as well as his opportunity given by the Reds.

Had a heart attack at age 22. (I didn't know that)

Looking forward to his 100th homer as he's sitting at 99.

There was a bunch of other small talk, but that's it....
