walzav29
Here's my theory on how this happens. At least how I hope it happens. Mike and Katie put all the feelers out for the WR's they can get. Then Marv and Carson pick which ones that they feel most comfortable with and then they sign him. If they say we can get A. Bryant, T.O., or Torry Holt. Hopefully Marv, Brat, and Carson all agree and biggity bam - New WR. It's a good sign that they are trying to sign Tank and Roy!

How long have you been a Bengals fan? I notice you give alot of guff, and I'm trying to figure out if you're just busting chops, you're a newer Bengal fan, just a little off or what. No hostility. It's a message board for Christs sake. I'm just wondering where you're coming from.

JoePong
So, basically what you are saying is they are going to explore their options at WR, do some consulting, and try to sign the one they like the best? Wow! That's quite a crazy prediction! I just didn't get the point of the post. The part about consulting Carson Palmer I disagree with though, after his big endorsement and recruiting of Coles last year. I don't believe they consulted Palmer with Coles last year, but I think he should be brought into the discussion this time around. You have heard that Marvin hasn't resigned yet past 2010 right? Some think that it may be because he wants more say in personel decisions. Thats why I brought that up. I'm just fired up Pong boy. The Bengals have a tiny Superbowl window and I want to strike while we can. Which means we need a WR. I'll tell you what all great and powerful Pong. Post something and then teach me the proper way to post. But I got a feeling you don't know a Larry Kinnebrew from a Steve Kreider.
ArmyBengal
I'm left to wonder how Coles' statement via twitter about Carson not liking throwing to Coles had actually merit. Not that it matters anymore, but I did find the comment interesting none the less... Coles isn't being objective he truly believes what he said.

ArmyBengal
I don't really care about Coles and think if that was really the case, then the Bengals should have had Simpson in there getting reps to see if they were any further along. Mike and Katie put all the feelers out for the WR's they can get. Then Marv and Carson pick which ones that they feel most comfortable with and then they sign him. If they say we can get A. Bryant, T.O., or Torry Holt. The problem is, by the time they get around to putting out their 'feelers', all decent WR will be signed. So we'll be left with some has-been or never-was. You know, like usual. This isn't one of those times where you can get a serviceable role player from the waiver wire, we need a legit threat at WR. With Boldin gone and the Bengals apparently out of the Marshall business, it's getting thin.

Hair doesn't favor sigs be they images or anything else. True, but nobody loves a running joke more than I do. Simply put, I believe there's a real opportunity awaiting all of us if we continue to exploit the vast potential found in Hoosier's punchline from last week. Which I now admit I ripped off and tweaked for my own amusement. In fact, I believe someday ALL internet jokes will be based upon the tag line of......"I'm seriously considering" By the way, I'll argue nothing makes my point about the lameness of a stale sig quite as well as Joe Pong's endless reminder to file your 2008 taxes.
