Potential safeties

based on this article, it looks like the Bengals prefer a safety who can cover first and then have the weight to substain the long season of wear and tear, it also sounds like after watching the film they arent to happy with Chinney's coverage of NY Jets TE Keller, I wasnt happy either the dude pretty much single handedly sent the Bengals home early. I think Kam Chancellor would fit. probably get him in the 4th. big, fast enough and played in a pro-style defense at V tech.

there are many decent players at safety this year. I hope they identify and draft a good one.

Regarding Chinny, does anyone else recall the portion of hard knocks where he got some airtime? he seemed to blow off the coaching he was getting and was making the same kind of mistakes as he did late in the season.

I don't know a fricking thing about this guy other than noting how he passes the eye test even from across the room...as well as down the hall...out the door.....and halfway across the parking lot.

It's also a pretty awesome name.

I hadn't given the first thought to his name, but what the heck?

Ladies and gentlemen, I now offer for your approval......"The Ansah Man"

Ehh?

I didnt feel as though he was blowing off the coaches, just that he didnt seem to be able to put it together in his head, he also seems to be more interested in off field things, I liked Crocker's demeanor, we need more guys with his attitude

all i seen of him is stuff from the combine. the dude looks like an amazing athlete and looked to be one of the criper, more fluid CBs during drills. could be a cute mid-round pick.

as for safeties...there are some very good prospects.

i would love earl thomas in the 1st...maybe taylor mays, too- i am very torn on mays.

reshad jones, nate allen, and morgan burnett would all be great in the 2nd.

and guys like kam chancellor (who i really like), barry church, larry asante, chad jones, myron rolle, major wright are all worth looking at in round 3+. we've got to score a safety in this draft...too many good ones.

Along with Florida S Major Wright, Iowa LB Pat Angerer and my personal favorite, New Hampshire TE Scott Sicko.

All four are pretty decent prospects, too.
