ackley1 Posted July 5, 2004 Report Share Posted July 5, 2004 I still can't beleive we missed the playoffs in 99'. All we had to do was win 2 of 3 against the Brewers the last weekend of the season and we were in the playoffs. We lost the first 2 games of the series and then Selig made us wait 6 hours to play the last game which we won. So the game was finally over around 4 am, and then we had to fly back to Cincy and play the Mets in that same day. Leiter pitched a shutout against us that night, but I can't help but think that it would have been a different outcome if that SOB Selig would have cancelled that game to be played the next day. I guess we shouldn't have lost 2 out of 3 to the brewers in the first place but I'm still pissed off how that was handled by Selig. What a sh**ty way to end such a great season!!!
