The Bengals on Tuesday made the following practice squad moves:

» Signed rookie wide receiver Freddie Brown of Utah. Brown (6-4, 210) was a seventh-round Bengals selection in the 2008 draft. He played in all four preseason games, with an 18-yard reception, and was waived on Sept. 5.

Surely this move was in response to Henry's injury but I wonder what this means for the Purify vs. J Simpson battle. Brown has the height at 6-4 but I wonder if he's going to the PS because they are going to bring Purify up.

Thoughts. Who are you pulling for? I personally would like to see J Simpson given a chance and doing well. If for no other reason than to not make his 2nd round selection not look like such a mistake. Who knows maybe something will click if he gets a chance with the lights on.

Who Dey!!

Per Lance's blog the team...signed rookie WR Freddie Brown of Utah. Brown (6-4, 210) was a seventh-round Bengals selection in the 2008 draft. He played in all four preseason games, with an 18-yard reception, and was waived on Sept. 5 (as stated above).

They also released rookie OT Gerald Cadogan of Penn State, who had been signed to the practice squad on Nov. 3. Cadogan began his rookie NFL year as a college free agent signee with Carolina.

Hell I don't care if a guy is the very last draft pick in the whole draft or he is not even drafted!!! If he can help the team that's all that matters to me

They let go an OT that they dont need now that Andre the Giant is about to make his debut and signed a prospect WR after losing a key WR to injury. Sounds like solid player management to me.

I'm glad Brown is back, he looks like a player that can produce in the NFL in the very near future.

This is what I want to see. I want to see the offensive line to stay the same in the first half against the Steelers. Hopefully the Bengals are leading by a couple of tds at halftime, and then plug in Andre to road grade the Steeler's D in the second half. Nothing would give me more pleasure than watching the Bengals beat the Steelers the same way they have beaten us for years. It is going to be a physical game, cant wait.

You know, with all these name changes for regular posters of late, theres one more name change that really, really needs to occur

Mr "TheDsucks" - I'm pointin' at you, dude

Agreed. That moniker has lost it's meaning.
