fattyjay
Anyone think they may go with more 3 man fronts to ease the pressure of back-up d-linemen? Not saying complete witch to 3-4, but just afew more looks to get more fresh legs on the field.
jjakq27
As much as the Oakland and Cleveland games are penciled in as gimmes, I am not so sure. Cleveland always seems to play us tough no matter what and traveling to Oakland is no guarantee. We are basically O-for-Oakland. Think we beat the Raiders in LA one time and have never won in Oakland. So this game really carries a great deal of significance considering we then play at Minnesota and at San Diego after that stretch of "easy" games. walzav29
I see Palmer getting in a groove and the D has to really respond after last weeks humiliation. The Bengals shouldn't lose back to back home games. Marv is 5-0 against the NFC North 9-2-1 against the NFC. Add it all upBengals 24Bears

Not saying complete witch to 3-4, but just afew more looks to get more fresh legs on the field.that is a good point. should this occur, I also would see Zimmer run more zone blitz's, to pressure Cutler and create confusion and possibly mistakes.I think the pressure will be on Leon, Jjoe, crocker and Chinny. Chinny and Crocker need to key off Forte and the TE, to prevent getting burned on dumps and screens. Sitting 15-20 yards off the line simply won't work. They need to alternate bunching the line and force Cutler to change the play at the line, further taking the bears off their game. This will enahnce the zone blitz, especially if Zimmer sends the safeties sometimes instead of LB's.I see us forcing Cutler from the pocket quite a bit. and Cutler tossing at least 2 INT's. He will run for some 1st downs but this will get him frustrated and he will being to force throws.

BengalByTheBay
Cutler's been bad on the road, the Bears are generally very beatable, losing this game really will look bad and bring out the "same old Bungals" crowd, the Mike Brown apologists here hate so much. I continue to believe that "must win" games should be reserved for the second half of the season, but that's just me. As for comments about the "same old Bungals," I am confused by your remark SS. Do you enjoy hearing that kind of comment? And, if not, are you a Mike Brown apologist? It must be interesting living in the land of absolutes, but with everything so black and white I suppose it ends up boring.Yet losing to Denver, Chicago and Houston at home really hinder their chances when you look at the rest of their schedule. As for the SOB comment, it's sarcasm, not sure why you think I'd "want" to start hearing that again, but it will be inevitable if they lose another home game to a mediocre team.Your comments seemed to imply that only MB apologists hate hearing about the "same old Bungals." I was just trying to suggest pretty much any Bengals fan probably thinks it sucks. Also, I disagree that a 4-3 team is likely to be subjected to such taunts. ArmyBengal
Fantasy owners might want to think about plucking Hester and Olsen off waivers (if available) and/or starting one or both of them this week.I picked up Knox a few weeks back and he's been putting up points for me in the return game along with getting good targets from Cutler in the passing game. He's in my starting lineup again this week, but I'm hoping he doesn't do very well...

He is due, but I'm hoping that he doesnt have a monster game this week.
HAPPYJAQ
Call me crazy, but I think the Bengals match up pretty decently against the Bears. I think they'll be able to shut down the Bears running game, or at least contain Forte. Peko back is huge for the team, and Sims continues to get better, up the middle. I am concerned about the Bears speed on the outside, and although Leon Hall has played well, he still shows the penchant to get beat deep. We MUST be able to cover the TE, but I'm sure that was a point of emphasis this week in practice.I think this is the week that Brat opens the offense up, so hopefully we can get some quick scores to allow us to run the clock out with Benson against a banged-up Bears front seven. The less time that Cutler is on the field, the better it will be for the Bengals in what should be a close game.

semiotter
Well the Bears are one of those teams that can beat anybody or lose to anybody you just don't know which team your gonna get. They aren't the monsters of the midway anymore but they can still play good defense and they have Jay C at QB. So I think they will be a tough team for Cincy after all they did beat the Squeelers to. So I say without "O" and Peko it will be tough. I'm not predicting a score, I have no clue.
AGrizzlyBaer
I am really pumped for the game now, my brother called me yesterday to say he got some tickets. I am going to go and cheer my ass off. haha
HoosierCat
Well, we lost to Houston. That sucks. Fortunately, we have the over-rated Bears coming to town. They will lose tonight to Atlanta. And they will lose to the Bengals 27-13 next Sunday. OK, I admit it, my score prediction was a little off...
