HoTbOy Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 With some of us unsure about OL,and the 2 with the most experience are a QB and a WR,IF something was to happen to Carson who will be the voice of reason in the huddle, Ochocinco? LColes? CHenry? CBenson? maybe BWilliams but never heard about him being a locker room leader, with such a young team and people being new, this is where a veteran OLman is missed... Quote
cincyhokie Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 That is a really good question. And to show how important leadership is look at what has happened to this team since Braham was hurt all of 2006. He may have been a quiet leader but he knew that offense inside and out. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 An offensive leader not named Palmer? Whitworth Quote
Ickey44 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 An offensive leader not named Palmer? WhitworthAgreed. He's really stepped up and become more vocal since mid-season last year. Quote
volcom69 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Whitworth has showed he has been a leader for this team before. Quote
BengalPimp Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 I'm also going to say Whitworth. Quote
Bearcat1975 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Whitworth gets my vote as well.Maybe Chad though, as dedicated as he has been this preseason. Crazy to say, but he is the vet with the longest tenure as well. Quote
Pidge Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 An offensive leader not named Palmer? WhitworthBingo. I think he's a leader anyway, with or without Carson. Smart football guy and nary a peep or prima donna utterance from his ever. Just gets on with it. Quote
kingwilly Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 I'd say it would be Whit, Bobbie and JT.THe big guys are solid, vocal leaders who anchor the line. Cook would also need to step up and gt serious.JT as the QB would also need to step up and get the plays called and run the offense, which requires a level of leadership and confidence he'll need to take on his shoulders.Getting the team out of the huddle, calling the blocks and audibling to the next check-down fall on these guys.
