ArmyBengal Posted August 8, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 8, 2009 The Reds get 7 runs between the 8th and 9th innings as the Giant bullpen melts down and the Giants make 5 errors. Bailey gave up 5 runs, so Weathers got the win on the night. I still hate that guy. It's not many nights where you keep Linecum to a no decision and it was a good win for the Reds, but you aren't going to have a team like that continue to make the mistakes it did in every game. Anyway around, it's nice to see them put 2 wins together and always nice to see them win at all. I find it odd that the players are saying things like, "We are starting to believe in each other". Well did it take the team being 14 games under .500 and 11 and a half games out of first for that to happen ?? I mean wasn't it good enough when they were 5 games OVER .500 and only 3 games back to believe in each other ?? I call bullsh*t on that one !!! And this is one crazy game we go into SF, 8 game road losing streak looking like crap and beat probley two of the best NL hurlers at their place. Please somebody explan how this happens!! The Reds get hot, winning a few series they never expected to win against teams they should be getting beat by, only to then go on a losing streak against teams that SUCK worse than they do. With that thought process, I expect us to take the series against the Cardinals as well. Well, not really...Nice to see Aaron get a win finally and take a series, which hasn't happened in forever either. Good for the Reds...
