Spor_tees
So whatever happened to the Samoan kid that ran through a wall on Youtube? I know he got injured and then cut, but I thought he resigned?

HairOnFire
So the Bengals offer is only 390k more than the tender price? Better hope the Vikings prefer Weaver, ehh? Edit: One hour after I write the above Weaver signs with the Eagles.
HoTbOy
I would love to have this guy, seeing the way APeterson has ran wild the last couple of years, but I do believe that the Vikings will match especially since the FB they were after signed with the Eagles.... Whur CHad At?
They must not think much of him and are likely not to match. They are pursuing Leonard Weaver instead.
Kazkal
Vikings fans seem to wanna see Tahi walk saying he's a great blocker but adding nothing to the passing game. That All Day mainly runs out of one back set's so every response I saw not one wanted to see offer matched.Adrian is a Freak o_O
Whur CHad At?
I'd honestly like to have Weaver for the long term, or Quinn Johnson. But if they are sold on him than so am I.Oh and TJ I don't think he had a great 40 time, so you can put the lotion away for this guy. Whur CHad At?
Well, won't get him now since Weaver signed with Philly
whizzo
which could easily mean the vikings will match the offer.
Whur CHad At?
They probably will, leaving us with Coates which I am not thrilled about. I hope we make a play for Quinn Johnson. This probably means as well if we don't get him, we will be making an run for Roy Williams.
jditty47
philly signing weaver right after we made this offer made baby jesus cry.
BengalPimp
http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7567No impact on Comp picks for 2010 because Tahi is a RFA rather than a UFANot quite, If you sign a Restricted Free Agent to an offer sheet, and the old club doesnt match the offer, then it can receive draft-choice compensation depending on the amount of the qualifying offer. HOWEVER, in this case they would not, because the Bengals originally signed him as a college free-agent in 2006. According to NFL rules, a player becomes a RFA when they complete 3 accrued seasons and their contract expires.
Whur CHad At?
I agree with BengalPimp on this. These are in fact the stated rules.
HAPPYJAQ
The Weaver signing made it very likely that the Vikings match. They still have a lot of cap room and just lost out on their #1 target as a FB. Tahi would be a better option for them than, say, Justin Griffith or an old, declining Lorenzo Neal. Kuhn could still be in the picture for the Bengals, though. If it's all the same, I'd rather have Roy as opposed to any of these guys, while drafting a mid-round FB and signing another UDFA who is a FB. Tahi was an UDFA in the first place and was let go after nearly beating out Jeremi Johnson in '06.

sparky151
Why is anyone excited about signing back a guy we cut? He's obviously Minnesota's fallback option since they didn't get Weaver. I'd like to see someone better than Tahi, we can get a good fullback in the 5th round or later.

BTG
Hmmmm only one year deal? anywaysvikings don't sign him I remember hearing someone say that anyone who has a one year deal this year (2009) actually has a two year deal thanks to the lack of a salary cap and change in the CBA next year. He used Matt Cassel as an example. I think it was Mike Lombardi, but I can't remember.

Therefore some players might go from unrestricted free agents this year to restricted free agents next year. Matt Cassel is one of the players affected by this.
