James_Brooks21
Rams just cut Pace, Holt is on deck, per rotoworldI'm just happy that nobody has said sign Pace yet, I see alot of that where people still believe that we can revive old wash up athletes some how.I'm looking for somebody who can be our rock at position for awhile, I'm still waiting on Levi Jones and Chris Perry to get cut somebody told me that Chris Perry was an unrestricted free agent but that person did not know what he was talking about. Sign him!Well, at least see how much he's going to go for. I'm all for getting a long-term solution at LT as you say, but that assumes we draft one in the first round. Even then, let's be honest, when Levi gets cut we're still 3 starters short of a good line. It's not an either/or kind of thing. If Pace can be had, he wouldn't be a bad stopgap to buy a couple of years while they fill other positions. But by all means, don't overpay for a guy on the downside.

You said Pace can be a stop gap for two years but the problem with Pace is that he can't stay on the field anymore longer then two games, what kind of stop gap is that. Just say no to signing Pace. ArmyBengal
Yeah, I can't see Pace being viewed in the "stop gap" capacity. I also think someone will overpay and the Bengals can't do that if they don't know if they can come up with enough cash to bring in a RFA fullback. OT (even old) will be out of their ballpark... BengalPimp
I knew it was too good to be true. I just saw that Leigh Bodden signed with the Patriots for 750,000, now if I was the Bengals I would have given him 1 million and a 1 year contract I think that he is better then any third option that we have or will have this year. He had a bad year but that was with him matching up with the number 1 receiver, he would have been matching up most of the time here with the other teams third option. One problem with your thinking.....Bodden signed that contract with the Pats 1-yr $750,000, so that he could cash-in next year. That is a high profile team, with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. NO WAY he signs even a 1 year $2 or $3 million deal with the Bengals. Think about it....if Bodden plays well for a playoff (maybe SuperBowl) team like the Pats....guaranteed some idiot(Al Davis?) will give him the big $$$$$$$. BengalPimp
If Willie Anderson was considered "injury prone" and "past his prime", what makes ANYBODY think Pace is any different?
BengalszoneBilly
If Willie Anderson was considered "injury prone" and "past his prime", what makes ANYBODY think Pace is any different?I never considered Willie injury prone because of his age. Young, yet oft injured Chris Perry debunked this fallacy for me.
