gregstephens
I like Dhani and I hope the Bengals don't blow him away in the near future as well.
HAPPYJAQ
I like Dhani and I hope the Bengals don't blow him away in the near future as well. That's why I don't get all the Maualuga talk. The only position he can play is MLB and I think Dhani is the best MLB we've had here since Brian Simmons was at the top of his game. He might not be Ray Lewis, but he's extremely consistent and rarely is caught out of position. At least once a game, he makes an unbelievable play that sometimes doesn't show in the boxscore or make it to SportsCenter. I think he's the real deal. All that said, it would be good to get another MLB somewhere in the middle rounds to develop under Dhani (unless they plan to move Keith Rivers there, which I believe will happen at some point). With so many needs, at top 6 pick used on a MLB would be a waste. Here's a stat for you:Since 1992, only 1 player projected as an NFL MLB (Brian Urlacher, selected 9th overall in 2000) has gone in the top 10 overall. Since that same draft year of 92, only 9 other projected MLB's (Beason, Willis, Vilma, Nick Barnett, Napoleon Harris, Urlacher, Katzenmoyer, Al Wilson and Ray) have been selected in the 1st round. ArmyBengal
That's one of the reasons I like Jasper Brinkley a little later. He's had injury issues, but would be great depth behind Dhani while he not only learns the system from him and Fitzgerald, but continues strengthening the knee. By 2010, things could look much different...

He had a devastating knee injury and it'll probably take him another year to get the strength in his leg back, but he has 1st round talent and hits a ton!
