No...somebody has a really good chance to find a quality nickel. The only nickel SoP has any interest in finding is the one that fell out of the hole in his tattered pocket because he is too cheap to buy new suits.

Appearently McAlister wasn't getting along with the organization and was told he would get then chance to discuss things and then called into Newsome's office and cut. Kinda of cold way to treat your former first round pick who has seen 3 pro bowls with your organization. All that considered, I honestly don't think he will be that HOT of a commodity coming off season ending knee surgery and his age. He will catch on somewhere, but he won't be getting the big dollar contract others will.

Yeah, he hasn't looked quite right the last 2 seasons. He'll end up in a place like Minnesota or Denver. I'd be OK with bringing him in, though. I wonder what visits the team has arranged so far. They're usually pretty good at getting guys to at least come in early.

The Bengals need a really good vet corner.. It will help the team in a lot of ways.

I'd bring in either Bly or McCalister for 2 years.
