combatbengal
I attended the Bengals training camp the past two pre-seasons and they didn't really look that impressive. Everybody kept telling me that it's only preseason. Most of the guys on the team didn’t seem to be that big (I thought they'd be giants). There didn't seem to be a since of discipline either. That observation was based on the player’s attitudes and performance during the practice.Yesterday, I had the honor of escorting an Army Major General through the OSU campus. On the tour we stopped at the Buckeye’s indoor football training center and were able to observe a part of their practice. Every player on the team was extremely professional and well disciplined. It was yes Sir, no Sir; huge difference from the Bengals. The Buckeye players also seemed to be in better shape and a lot bigger then the Bengals. All I could say was go Bucks! DesperateDerelict
If they played in the Horse-shoe, I'd bet the Bucks even-up.!!

Such a lack of performance would never be deemed acceptable when I was in the Marines, and I know the same is true with the Army. Any unit commander showing such lack luster performance would definitely be relieved of duty, if not outright discharged.
combatbengal
Guess I'm doing fine then. I’ve been in command for three years now; six months to go. You're right about the lack of discipline. But it has to start at the top. If the leaders of the organization set low standards then the players have nothing to work towards! And it shows. It's all about holding those accountable. There is no accountability in this organization and there hasn't been any since Mikey took over. This is why as long as Mikey is in control I will have no hope for this team. The lack of accountability can be seen in the retention of Bratowski, Guy-check, Thornton, etc, etc, etc....
