BengalszoneBilly
Baltimore with 10 wins!?! With Boller making the QB (in)decisions!?! Yeah right. All they have for sure at the moment is defense, and even that's spotty at times! Have you forgotten the Tennessee game already!?!
daredevil25
Instead of going of # of wins, I'll just give a brief reason why I placed them thereAFCEast-Patriots- Didn't lose much, deeper than the 2002 team, added key RB weaknessBills- Juice on offense will give them some life, but the defense will shine hereDolphins- Another slow season for the Dolphins, who will come close but fail againJets- Herm will receive some flak, but he's rebuilding a defense pretty much from scratchNorth-Bengals- I was sold on the Ravens until I saw that Madden cover, lol. In reality, I feel the Bengals are just as good and this will be close all the way.Ravens- Great all around team, but I'm still not sold on their WRs. Its not a position you need to be greatly loaded at in this division, but since you play the NFC East and AFC East which have good corners, it may prove harmful.Steelers- Still a year away from being the team they were in 2002 and better.Browns- Yeah, lets trade away our pick to a team one spot ahead of us, that doesn't want the player, and he's a Poston client. Garcia will be booed by Week 5. South-Colts- Another team that is retooling defensively. Loss Marcus Washington, but added some CBs. Still the dominant team in the divisionTexans- I know the Jags are the feel good story everyone wants, but the Texans gave better games to many teams and the main reason they're not looked at like the Jags is because their defense was horrid. Titans- Still a good team, but they've loss a lot, and didn't replace it. McNair and Fisher REALLY have their hands full this season.Jaguars- Feel good story doesn't achieve. I like this team, but I think that they still have a year to wait for the Colts to start paying for Manning heavily. West-Broncos- One of my SB teams. I feel they're better than the Chiefs and addressed a secondary which has been a weakness for years. Chiefs- Still better than the Raiders, and Gunther WILL have that defense better.Raiders- I'm giving them benefit of a doubt because I like their line on defense and if healthy their CBs are very talented.Chargers- Rumor has it Rivers may start his first year, Wade Phillips isn't god as a DC and didn't address the OL or WR position in any signifigance. LT, get ready to have another HOF type of season w/ no more than 6 wins.NFCEast-Eagles- Lito Sheppard played better than people give him credit for in 2003. The defense wont be nearly at its 2002 level, but the offense will more than makeup for it.Redskins- Gibbs has an all star team, but the defensive line is still like a prostitute, everyone gets in. Cowboys- I don't give a damn what people say, that defense wasn't that great and Keyshawn didn't give them much. Parcells is planning for 2005 anyways. Giants- Eli Manning+StartingNorth- Vikings- Addressed the defense the last few years in the draft and got Antoine Winfield. Offense is already spectacular and didn't lose anything.Packers- Well you got maybe ONE more season after this to stretch out Brett Favre. Another season of Ahman Green carrying the load.Lions- I'm not putting them here because of all the draft hype they got. Its a good draft, the best IMO but people act like their divisional champs w/ 3 good rookies. Bears- Jauron did a respectable job to take this team from (I believe) 0-3 to 7-9. Lovie gets a good team, but the "Rams" offense w/ that group of WRs South- Bucs- Yeah, they got a truckload of old guys, but they were 2 games they should have won away from winning the divison last year, and they added some good piecesSaints- Improved offense, improved defense. Still the wrong guy at HC, but the team has been struck by injuries their last two playoff pushes, something the media doesn't tell you.Falcons- Seriously depends on Vick's health. The Bucs are the only NFCS team to beat the Falcons when Vick starts also. The learning curve on both offense and defense makes us the ? of the division. Easily could be in 1st or last placePanthers- Dropoff from the SB. Most people who didn't watch their season and aren't in our division don't know that they only had two games in the NFC South they outright won. It took an ADMITTED bad call by the refs to win vs. the Saints, and two fluke games against the Bucs for them to win the division. It wont be coaching that kills this team, but big plays that showed up last year, more than likely will be gone this year.West- Seahawks- My other SB team. Top 5 WR unit, improved defense, and Hasslebeck has continued to improve. St.Louis Rams- I don't know about these guys. Bulger was horrifying towards the end of last season and don't let a meaningless pro-bowl make you think he's awesome. Defense loss Lovie and maybe its pass rushers if Little goes to jail (like he should). SF 49ers- Their fans want to believe they'll rise back, but that's just not reality. They play two tough divisions and they're depending on Brandon Lloyd, Tim Rattay, Kevan Barlow and Rashaun Woods to restore their offense. The offensive line was severely hit, the defensive line is and their best hope in Julian Peterson, will more than likely holdout.Cardinals- The effort that was there last year will be present this year, but like last season the wins will be few and often. Their best years are ahead of them.
WHO DEY AGAIN?
I agree with most of the NFC. I'm with Billy on Baltimore. I see them below the Steelers and battling with the Clowns for 4th. I can't see the Raiders with more than 6 wins and only 6 if everything goes their way. It's between us and the Steelers. The Raven's have shot their wad! We will battle the Colts in the AFC title with us winning on Defense!

cincykent
Why is everyone so down on the Ravens? They won 10 games last year with the youngest team in the NFL. They didn't lose anyone. I don't see why they should have a losing season. I would love for the Bengals to run away with the division but I don't see it happening. TecmoFever
I've got to agree with CincyKent on this one, as much as I hate to say it. The Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC North. I hate to say this even more, but don't be surprised if the Browns finish at or above .500. And yes, I am a Bengal fan.
cincykent
I read somewhere that if the Bengals keep all of their 2004 draft picks on the roster that they will be the youngest team in the NFL. Talk about a bright future!!!
chrishcovga
It's not a question of who the Ravens lossed, but rather who did they gain..? Cincy made significant additions to weak areas of need, while the Ravens once again will enter the 2004 season without a proven wide receiver. Johnson and Taylor are subpar receivers. They lost Marcus Robinson, and failed to land a real threat at WR in a WR deep draft ! They've got questions at QB, and thier offensive line is Aging. They may have defensive firepower, but without anything more than a running game, they'll struggle !As for the CincyKent predictions, pretty good. But Cincy' should win the division this year.and Butch Davis, Bill Cowher are looking at their last seasons in Pitt, and Clev.
