Kirkendall
I think ESPN is going to do a piece on it, but Danny Graves is the fastest to record 20 saves in a season. Good job Graves. GO REDS!

BengalszoneBilly
I know he usually gets the job done. WHY DOES HE HAVE TO INCLUDE A CORONARY WITH EVERY OTHER SAVE!?!
turningpoint
yea he's the fastest to 20 saves. the old record was 20 saves in 46games he did it in 43, and has 21 in 44 games.
skyline
keep in mind...he also is tied for the league lead in blown saves.
The Brew Man
Yeah, I hate to be negative at such a positive time, but Graves cannot and will not keep this pace up. If he does, ill be the first to admit im wrong but its absolutley crazy! Anyway, well done Danny.
Kirkendall
keep in mind...he also is tied for the league lead in blown saves. This isn't concerning. Graves has 8 more save oppritunities than the 2nd place guy, Benitez. When the opposing team is within 2 runs entering the 9th, Graves will give up runs. Every closer does. Sure he had a rough start, but his ERA is down to 3.00 which is good. Graves will be good to go this season.

turningpoint
yeah i'm a little worried, tod jones of all people can come on the 8th and stop people from scoring the closer should be able to do that also...

ERA is a 3.00???!!!!That's great stuff then, considering how the home-run happy hitting league is these days. Better yet--the Minor League-like Pitching sucks. So, having a 3.00 ERA is terrific these days. Way above average.Good job, Danny Graves. Keep up the good work.Let's hope he doesn't have dead-arm by August.
