walzav29
Marvin does not want him back and has said as much. Mike Brown has said he gives people 2nd chances (5th's as well). This will show that Lewis doesn't have his ear as much and we all know that isn't good. I hope they don't sign him.

Henry will help the Bengals.
Ickey44
How long is Henry going to help, huh? He's already suspended for the fist four games. How long until he gets arrested again? Again, Utecht will make the necessity of having a third receiver nonexistant. We won't have to use so many three WR sets because we can work out of a 2 TE more. Lets wait until games 2 and 3 are in the books before we claim that either Maxwell, Simson, or Caldwell can't adequately fill the third WR role. walzav29
Different organizations. They do everything 1st class. They have championships, and a legacy. Marvin doesn't want to deal with "knuckleheads". This will bring back all of that negative attention. I believe Adam Shefter when he said there were internal discussions, but not from Marvin. They will be fine if Utecht and Perry can stay on the field.

Bag that s**t, we only need a one tight end set with Utect being the guy. Imagine CJ, Housh, Henry, Utect, Perry. Jesus H, that's a helluva lot of weapons to choose from.... The real problem is wheter Bresh can handle that caliber of weaponry.

If they do great cut Henry, if they dont well then now we have a proven option to turn to.

Marvin would look like a fool, a liar and a man who can't control his team. They have enough normal football distractions to bring knucklehead back. Besides, its not like they need him that badly. Monday showed that the Bengals have two new weapons to replace Henry's snaps. No telling what Caldwell and Simpson can give during November and December. Henry is old news and the Bengals surely knew when releasing him that he might beat the rap, a "he said, she said" type of charge.
jjakq27
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/08/12/...hance-in-cincy/I will be very disappointed if this comes true. It seems to be a move out of despiration.Run the two TE formation and keep pounding the ball or throw to Utecht instead.

combatbengal
Let's invite Carl Pickens, Corey Dillon and Thurman back too. NOT! Let Henry keeping hanging out with the gangster crowd.
Tee
The Bengals don't NEED Henry. They'll do just fine without him.

We don't need Henry. We have enough offensive talent without him. By the way, Bratkowski is the offensive coordinator, not Bresnahan.... Ickey44
Yes, it was a lot more. But when you're in a 2TE set, the defense won't know what's coming: pass or run. That's a big part of what made their offense so successful. It's also easy to audible from run to pass once you see the defense because with that personnel on the field you can successfully do both. BengalByTheBay
My reaction to this subject is ... REALLY???? It would be the height of stupidity to consider bringing henry back. I'm having a hard time believing there is any legitimate basis for this discussion and I hope I'm right.

bwillycuse
I love the double standard us Bengal fans have to deal with.Dillon, a malcontent a$$. Goes to New England and its a great move by them. Moss tanked it in oakland then gets traded to the Pats, now he is golden.(Bengals pick him up and there would be a negative spin)Dallas has more criminals than any team yet no word at all. They even fast tracked PacMans reinstatement. (has he been reinstated - couldnt filter through all the Favre stuff)Henry was not convicted of anything.(Why he got 4 games? I dont know) He wants to play here, but if the Bengals pick him up, we would be picked apart. Dallas picks him up...It would be a great move.Im indifferent about whether or not he is resigned. We need a 3rd receiver. He wants to play for us.(amazing isnt it, no one else does)If we sign him, then great. If not, we better have production from Chapman. He has been more of a bust than anyone player on the team. 0 production from that man.Just sick of the fine line the Bengals always have to walk. Once you go Blackman you won't go back. BTW, why haven't you gone to Kilmer? Sentimental?
