icehole3
my impressions were the DLine sort of held its ground. I didnt see guys flying up the middle like in the past, Simpson looks like a legit deep threat. What I'd like to see is them try Coats at fullback and Glatthaar at RB and just pound the ball behind Big Willie and just see what the F happens, Glatthaar has enough skills to be that Jerome Bettis type, that would be progressive thinking so what will happen is Glatthaar will get waived and scooped by Pittsburgh or Cleveland. skyline
Yeah, I watched these last night. Simpson's catch sure was nice, wasn't it?
redsbengalsbucks
Some of my thoughts after watching the scrimmage highlights.Perry looks thicker and a little slower, I also kept finding myself waiting for the stretcher to come get him after every run/catch.Is our D that much better against the run or is our run game still lacking a killer instinct? Urettia and Purify are dropping way to many balls. Hebert and Lynch both looked good, it is going to be a battle for the last couple S positions.Deltha looks like he may have lost a step, he may not make the team with the youngsters that are pushing him.Maxwell was playing, but he never got involved in a play that I saw.Rowe and J. Palmer look to be similar talents, good psoition battle to watch.Graham needs to connect on a more consistent basis 4 out of 6 is not good enough.Overall the D looks like it might have turned a corner and could become average. Hopefully this is true, that is all they need to be for this team to have a winning season. And the best for last, I have not heard, read or seen any injuries in yesterdays scrimmage, that is always a good thing. combatbengal
The d pass coverage still sucks. I know that they are going against Palmer but still can't cover anybody. The run Def looked preety good!

He needs to get that right. Once it starts popping, it seems to keep popping.
ShulaSteakhouse
As always the pass should set up the run with this offense, considering who the QB is and the WR's, and the fact the 0-line are probably better at shielding off rushers with their size in the passing game versus getting out and creating big holes for Rb's (something they just aren't good at anymore, but we'll see).I don't think Glathaar will make the roster - nice size and was a good goal line back for UC, but he'll have to really impress big time, and I think he'll easily get cut in the #'s game. PS at best.Jonathan Joseph is on fire so far. Leon Hall has looked good as well.Good to see Simpson make a big play last night, and Chatman showing some ability to be a consistent target and catch when he's healthy.
