And then there's Homer

So I was doing nothing (of course) and decided to go see how our boy Homer did after being sent back down to Louisville June 18th...

In his 4 games started before being recalled for todays game, he went 0-3 with one no decision.

He pitched 24.1 innings and gave up 29 hits and 14 earned runs, while striking out 27.

While it's nice to see his strikeouts get up there, he's obviously still having issues even in triple A. This is NOT what you want to see happening to your youngster in the minors. He should be dominating and he's not. This move would never have happened had Harrang not been injured. All I can say is, good luck Homer !!! I really am pulling for the kid, but it's not looking good...

WHODEY !!!

Homer just got pulled after going 5.2 and only giving up 1 earned run and striking out 4. The Reds are up 2-1, but there is still plenty of ball to be played...

I'll take that from Homer.

Edit, before I got a chance to add the reply, Bray just gave up a double tying the game. Bray got yanked.

WHODEY !!!

Homer looked good. CC being CC was to much for the REDS today. Jerrys hurt again...Geeeez. And the REDS keep making those silly mistakes good teams dont make. <_<

Great effort by Bailey yesterday. As well as Sabathia pitched, the Reds were in a position to win the game. This one was all on Dusty...there's no way Bray should have been in there against Kapler.

Hopefully Hairston will be OK, they are a completely different team with him in the lineup.

Well, O-fer Bailey did it again. Six runs in five and a third, sinking his record to 0-6 while seeing his ERA balloon up to 7.93. Are there no other options at this point?

I think they are just about out of options across the board.

I don't think so. They are destroying any chance this kid has at making it in the future. Season's over. Can't they pick up an older retread pitcher to finish the rotation? Homer will never be any good as they let him get shelled on a regular basis.
