combatbengal
Let’s shut up all of the haters, non-believers, so called experts, and those who want out of Cincinnati. We’ve been accused of having the worse draft in our division and were predicted to have a top 5 draft pick next season. So it seems that nobody has faith in our team, and feels that we’ll end up dead last in the division and out of the playoffs. Chad has cried all winter about being traded and will sit out if he’s not. I’m with Marvin, be a man and live up to your words, sit out! Now, I’m reading on NFL.com that Levi Jones recently asked the Bengals to trade him. It appears that he has issues with the coaching staff. Can any other distraction be raised? I say he just go out and win the division, get into the playoffs, without Chad, and get to the super bowl. I wonder how he’ll feel if the rest of the team wins a ring, while he sits at home not collecting a paycheck. I think we’ve improved our def! With Rivers and Thurman in there, we should be able to stop just about anything that’s thrown at us. That’s if Thurman can play up to his expectations. On the offensive side, we addressed the loss of Henry and Chad and should be able to keep going at the same pace that we had last year. Rudi should be healthy and ready to go. Watson has proven that he can get the job done. I really think that this will be a better Bengal team! One last note, Levi, you don’t work for the coaches, you work for Carson. All you have to do is give him time to get rid of the ball, protect him and collect a paycheck! Quit crying and just do your job. Coaches hurt your feelings? So what. You’re playing football for a living, you make enough money to pay for these increased gas prices, you’re not homeless, you have food in your belly, etc. Bottom line, you’re living the life that just about every American boy would love to have, and you want to quit because you don’t get along with the coaches. Do you think all of us get along with our bosses?
DC_Bengals_Fan
I certainly hope it happens, but I can't say I'm extremely optimistic. We'd have to get lucky indeed for two rookies to match the performace of a non-psycho Chad and a non-suspended Henry. While I agree the defense looks better, I'm seriously worried about the offensive line which is seemingly getting worse by the day. I think the offense takes a step back, unfortunately.I do think that the defense has the potential to jump 10 spots in the rankings just by getting ride of Caveman Chuckie. And I don't see Justin being missed all that much.
agreen_112
There isn't another team in the NFL, maybe any team in any sport , that has had the amount of bad luck as the Bengals have had the past few years. From heartbreaking injuries that could've cost the championship to meaningless suspensions, we've had them all. Over and over and over again. The cards have been stacked up against Marvin from day 1 and it hasn't got any easier since. There is always going to be A LOT of naysayers or haters out there, but I truly believe that Marvin is doing a good job. This is his first head coaching job in the NFL. Can you imagine the amount of pressure Marvin feels? Yet, he handles it all so calm and collective and assures us that everything will be fine. He promised a blowup and he delivered. Lets see what happens. I feel good about the blowup, very good.

walzav29
I'm down with some optimism. Why not? The only thing Chris Henry had was downfield speed. His hands weren't that good. Not to mention the distractions, but if you think about all of the drops Henrys had against the Ravens, Chargers, Cardinals, and those are the ones off the top of my head. It's possible that Rudi was actuall hurt last year. He is under 30 and did have a bad hamstring. I like this defense more than 2005, our schedule works out better than the Steelers and Browns when it comes to prime-time games. What the hell! 11-
walzav29
1 more thing that gets overlooked is how decimated the team was at linebacker. They had a rookie safety, a DE, and a player they had for 2 weeks as their LB's against the Pats. The linebackers have been completely overhauled. combatbengal
I'm predicting a 10-6 season. Chad sits out and misses the playoffs.
