jjakq27
http://www.nfl.com/draft/story;jsessionid=...mp;confirm=true1. 1974 Steelers2. 1991/1992 Cowboys3. 1983 Bears4. 1958 Packers5. 1986 49ers6. 1996 Ravens7. 1981 Redskins8. 1968 Bears9. 1985 Bills10. 1995 BuccaneersThe interesting thing is that most of the teams won a Super Bowl within 5 years of their respective drafts. And each one of those drafts complimented what was already in place by those teams. That's what make the Bengals 2005 draft such a disappointment. There were many contributions by that group in 2005 but sadly the only Ghiachuc (4th rd.) and Fanene (7th rd.) are the only active players left. QB Carson Palmer (2003) 2. WR Chad Johnson (2001) 3. OG Mike Goff (1998) 4. DE Robert Geathers (2004)5. none (2002, 1998) *6. DT Kelly Gregg (1998)7. WR TJ Houshmazadeh (2001)* Bengals 5th round selections 1998-2007: FB Nick Williams (Luchey), CB Robert Bean, OG Victor Leyva, LB Khalid Abdullah, WR Maurice Mann, OT Adam Keift, LB AJ Nicholson, QB Jeff Rowe. DesperateDerelict
The interesting thing is that most of the teams won a Super Bowl within 5 years of their respective drafts. The chicken or the egg? Although those drafts were undeniably successful for those teams, some of the 'role player' picks look exceptional in hindsight, because the teams made or won the superbowl.Otherwise, I think you'd be including some recent Charger drafts.
